This is our local shop that sells all those items that you may suddenly find you have run out of. The shop delivers newspapers, and has a dry cleaning service. Its range of foods and wines (it is an off-licence too) means that it is very useful for all those emergency supplies!

Places of Worship

Hillmere Management Company

Hillmere owns and maintains the gardens and roads around the 26 properties in Hunters Way and Caroline Close. It collects a maintenance charge from which it pays for gardening services and other repairs and maintenance. The residents are invited to a meeting that is held triennially when the budget is set, issues are discussed and directors are appointed. The next is due in 2024.

Please see the contacts page for details on ho to contact the directors.

Park Hill Residents Association

This is a vigorous organisation of local residents (including both owners and tenants) who campaign effectively for the area. They produce a newsletter every quarter in which many local sporting and social groups and good local tradesmen and other services advertise.

For more information and to contact them please look on their website at phra.org.uk.

Digital TV, Virgin Media, Sky Satellite

We have a very poor TV reception in this locality. For this reason and because we discourage satellite dishes we have provided access through our rear gardens for Virgin Media's cable service. It can supply a variety of TV services including digital, over 550Mbps broadband internet and an alternative telephone supply. If you really do want a satellite dish (e.g. for foreign language broadcasts) then please ask the installer to place the dish out of sight up on the flat roof.

Lower Addiscombe

The shops in Lower Addiscombe comprise a comprehensive range of small and good quality retailers and there is a newly developed Co-op, which has the local Post Office.

There are pizza delivery outlets, fish & chips shops and Chinese and kebab takeaways. It is easy to get to by tram and the parking is easy, cheap or even free.
